A creative and visionary British filmmaker, Sarah’s short films have received numerous accolades and international recognition. She is currently working on several projects focusing on unique stories led by strong female characters, including the feature film SPINSTERHOOD (in development with the BFI).
 
Sarah’s background began in creative advertising, with over twenty years’ experience in London agencies as an award-winning writer, art director, and Creative Director. She made a bold move to writing and directing film and her debut short LA MADRE BUENA arose to immediate worldwide acclaim, screening at Academy and BAFTA recognized film festivals and receiving over 50 wins and nominations.
 
Her recent second short film THE BIRTH OF VALERIE VENUS, co-funded by the BFI NETWORK, has won numerous awards, qualified for Oscar Consideration, BAFTA Longlisted for Best British Short Film, and is currently screening on Disney + Europe, HBO Europe, and Canal Plus. 
 
Sarah’s clear vision and strong unique voice has been noticed by film festivals and audiences around the world. She has been voted Best Writer of the year and Best New International Director on numerous occasions and screened her work at venues including the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and the House of Commons London.
