Sarah is a writer director from the UK. She is currently working on several projects focusing on unique stories led by strong female characters, including the short films THE BIRTH OF VALERIE VENUS (co-funded by the BFI NETWORK, currently in post-production) and LITTLE THINGS (in development), and the feature film TWO OLD MAIDS (in development).
In 2016 Sarah wrote and directed her first short film LA MADRE BUENA (THE GOOD MOTHER) which arose to immediate acclaim, screening at Academy and BAFTA recognised film festivals and receiving 50 wins and nominations including a BIFA long list, BFI Postroom Pick, Gold Cannes Young Director Award, Shots New Director of the Year, Free the Bid New Director and New Filmmakers LA Best Screenplay. The film received high profile coverage including The New York Times, BBC World News, Buzzfeed and Huffington Post.
Sarah was selected from over 500 applicants as one of the BFI CONNECT @ London Film Festival 2018 alumni for filmmakers breaking boundaries for their upcoming debut feature films.
Previously Sarah worked as a Creative Director in advertising at major international agencies including McCann Erickson and Leo Burnett.
